Hasbro marked the 40th Anniversary of Ghostbusters on the 8th of June by opening pre-orders for their new 3.75-inch Ghostbusters O-Ring 4-Pack as announced back at WonderCon 2024. This new set features the original three Ghostbusters in a format similar to that used by the 3.75-inch G.I. Joe figures. The set comes with four Proton Packs and Neutrona Wands, a Ghost Trap, a PKE Meter, and a set of Ecto Goggles. The foursome of Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston will also be able to be used with either of the 1/18 scale ECTO-1 vehicles released in the Plasma Series - with the 1984 ECTO-1 also being re-offered for collectors to complement this new set. This Ghostbusters 4-Pack will be a December 2024 release. And it didn't finish there as Hasbro has also apparently been circulating this teaser image for a new Ghostbusters HasLab opening in the Autumn. The artwork strongly indicates the project will be themed around ECTO-1 and it is expected that this will finally be a true 6-inch scale ECTO-1 for the existing Plasma Collection figures. Hasbro has revealed the next Star Wars HasLab as a Vintage Collection 3.75-inch scale modular Cantina from A New Hope. The piece features the full bar and booths as well as the entrance and you can choose to purchase the standard or deluxe version with the latter featuring two sides of booths. The Cantina can be displayed as a full diorama but also breaks down into smaller dioramas such as the entrance, the bar, or a single booth. The set also includes figures of Wuher and the Tonnika Sisters. There are also tiers for backers with more Cantina patrons added as the various tiers are met. We have Greedo at Tier 1, Nabrun Leids at Tier 2, and Arleil Schous at Tier 3. Here in the UK the HasLab is priced at £399 for the standard pack, and £499 for the Deluxe offering which includes three more modular booth sections as well as more chairs, tables and benches. You have until the 9th of July to back the Cantina with a base level of 8000 backers needed for it to go into production for a 2025 release. McFarlane's second wave of DC Direct figures from The New Batman Adventures are now open for pre-order at McFarlane stockists. Another three Star Wars Black Series figures are being issued later this year. This set includes the 2021 Bad Batch figures of Hunter and Crosshair from Season 1, and the 2019 Doctor Aphra. As with the other reissues to date, these are not coming to the UK via Hasbro Pulse or via wholesale, but some retailers are importing stock at a slightly increased RRP. Hasbro's June the 4th Fan Stream kicked off 'Yo Joe June' for 2024 with a number of new reveals in the G.I. Joe Classified Series. There were four new reveals which opened for pre-order the same day. These included Alpine, Storm Shadow v2, an Iron Grenadier, and an Iron Genadier B.A.T. These four are general releases in the US with the UK line continuing through Hasbro Pulse only. These are released across October 2024 according to the UK listings, but are down as December for the US. Full details and galleries of each of these can be found at the end of our article. There was some other news including an upcoming Retro Carded wave of of Cobra Commander and a Cobra Trooper. Hasbro has revealed two new Star Wars Black Series Mandalorian Shriek-Hawk releases due for an Autumn 2024 arrival. The single Shriek-Hawk is a Target US exclusive and comes with two blasters and a jet pack. This one will be numbered 40 in the Mandalorian Galaxy Collection The two-pack of Shriek-Hawk Trainers will sit with Walmart in the US and come with similar long and short blasters and jet packs. This one is not numbered. The pre-order details on these will be dictated by Walmart and Target, but as they open in the US they should open here in the UK for Fan Channel retailers. Another trip we took recently was to the 'May the Toys Be With You' exhibition which is currently on show at the Beacon Museum in Whitehaven. The shop celebrates the original Kenner Star Wars Toys of the 70s and 80s as well as featuring a collection of Original Trilogy movie posters. The figures are displayed in acrylic cases giving you a clear look at each figure/ship alongside variants and rarer offerings including the Palitoy Death Star Playset - which I had as a kid - and some of the global variations like the Uzay Blue Star.
