- SDCC 2024: Mezco Toys Booth images including Marvel, DC, Indiana Jones, Rumble Society and More
There were not many formal reveals with associated preview images but we did get a look at a new One:12 Collective Deadpool as seen in the 2024 Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The shadow of Wolverine is also visible in the photo so there is a strong indication of a companion piece coming as well. Also reviewed in the One:12 series was Marv from Sin City, and The Dark Knight Batman. There were also 5Points reveals including Batman: The Animated Series and confirmation of Series 2 featuring Batman and the Batcycle, Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, Sky Dive Batman, and Two-Face. There were also two Michael Keaton adjacent reveals with a 1989 Batman and Batmobile, and a new Beetlejuice release. Mezco have been sharing images from their own SDCC booth and these include a look at figures already previewed, but also some new additions from their various licenses as well as their own Rumble Society collection. The Indiana Jones figures look impressive, as does The Batman and that new comic Nightwing. There were more images shared on Day 2 with pictures of a new Beetlejuice, DC Golden Age Robin, Godzilla, Dick Tracy figures, and The Shadow You can find all the SDCC 2024 news at our Conventions Newsfeed. The sole Marvel Select reveal at the Diamond SDCC panel was a new 7-inch Select scale Hobgoblin, complete with glider. As this is still a digital image it is likely to be a 2025 release. - SDCC 2024: Jazwares Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron
Jazwares were one of the final scheduled panels for action figure collectors and didn't particularly reveal anything of note in their Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron series. They took the participants through an overview of Series 6 - all of which was already known. The two reveals of note were of the V-19 Torrent Fighter from The Clone Wars and the Tie Silencer from The Rise of Skywalker. This pairing will go to the Jazwares Vault initially as a 'first to market' arrangement before moving to a more general release. You can find all the SDCC 2024 news at our Conventions Newsfeed. - SDCC 2024: Mondo Toys 1/12 scale Real Ghostbusters and Masters of the Universe
Mondo are not a property we usually follow as their scale predominantly is 1/6 rather than the mid-size focus of our news and reviews. However, they are moving into 6-inch scale figures with a new Real Ghostbusters series - and their booth at SDCC 2024 gives us our first look at what they have to offer. On display are figures of Peter Venkman and Egon Spengler along with a number of ghosts including Silmer and Samhaim. It seems each release will feature a Ghostbuster and an associated ghost - with Venkman and Sammheim as a launch set in Autumn 2024, and Spengler and The Boogieman as an early 2025 release. It also appears that Ghostbusters are not the only 1:12 property Mondo are working on, with a Masters of the Universe series in the works as seen in this presentation. Our Mondo Toys images are predominantly taken from X and DVeese, please give them a a visit to see more of their SDCC images You can find all the SDCC 2024 news at our Conventions Newsfeed.
