After its reveal earlier this month, the new Marvel Legends Deluxe Electro from Spider-Man: No Way Home has opened for pre-order. The figure is a general release available at all usual stockists. Release dates are a bit varied with some retailers listing as early as May, and others as far out as July 2025. Electro features an alternative pair of hands and a pair of electrical effect pieces. Unfortunately, there is no standard Jamie Foxx head sculpt, only the briefly seen on-screen powered effect. McFarlane reveals a trio of new DC Multiverse figures. The new releases start with Tempest from Titans Rebirth, followed by Dark Flash from New Kid in Town, and conclude with the 1940s Animated Superman. These are general releases that ship in February 2025. All three of these new reveals have been added to our extensive McFarlane Collector Database Garth debuted in Adventure Comics as Aqualad, Aquaman's sidekick. “Tell me I don’t make your old gear look brand new” The following review has been written ahead of the release of Captain America: Brave New World. While there are no details within this review that have not been seen in the trailer or promotional merchandise, there may be content in here that is considered a spoiler. Ahead of the 14th of February 2025 release of the fourth Captain America movie, Brave New World, Hasbro released a trio of Marvel Legends Deluxe releases including Cap, Falcon, and Red Hulk. The figures have been in development & production for some time and were pushed back when the movie itself was delayed. They finally hit store shelves at the very back end of 2024 with the bulk of orders and stocks fulfilled in early January 2025. Due to the delay in release, all three of the Brave New World releases are packed in the older Marvel Legends packaging with Falcon in a slimmer deluxe box complete with character artwork on the scooped sides. The front of the box includes a large curved window under which sits the Brave New World movie logo. The rear of the box carries a wider image of the new Falcon and the briefest of background of Joaquin Torres who has taken up the mantle of Falcon. Once unpacked the internal cardback of the box is revealed in blue and white with a large Captain America Star logo. The Torres Falcon is a brand new figure developed for the movie, and recreating the green and brown theme we see the new Falcon suit incorporate. The suit is complex in its design with what appears to be a black flight suit with beige panels overlaid with green and silver armoured elements including a full chest piece, shoulder armour, elbow and wrist sections, and armour boots. A belt piece is separate to the body, cast in a silver plastic and left loose around the waist so it slides up partially as the legs are raised.  Each of the suit colours are cleanly applied and the overall look retains a good likeness to the new Falcon suit while also differing itself from the original Falcon wingsuit.  The figure features a slot in backpack that can be used with or without the included wings. There are two of these included, one for use flush to the figure and without the wings, and a second set that connects to the wings. Both use the black, green, and silver colouring of the suit but with a red introverted ‘V’ down the central panel. They slot into the rear of the figure by way of a single hexagon slot. Falcon has two head sculpts included, both feature a sculpted likeness to actor Danny Ramirez. Both heads feature an integrated flight helmet in the same black green and silver as seen on the suit. The eyes are enclosed in a transparent visor with a subtle yellow hue. On the ‘open’ helmet head, the mouth is exposed down the chin strap. The second ‘closed’ helmet head features the mouth and nose fully enclosed and meeting the visor. The heads swap in and out OK, but on our review copy I did find the enclosed head was a tighter fit and harder to slot into place.  Falcon features two pairs of hands for use in display, allowing you to choose from a pair of clenched fists and a pair of open hands that are part-way between a grip pose and a clawed hand. You also get a Redwing accessory for use with Falcon and this does appear to be a re-use of the Redwing that was included way back in 2016 with the first release of Falcon  from Civil War. Like that 2016 release, this new iteration of Redwing does not interact with the Falcon figure or wingsuit so is relatively redundant as a display accessory other than propping it into the open hands as though it were launching or landing.  The original EXO-7 wingsuit, as used by Sam during his time as Falcon, is the reason this is a Deluxe release. The wings are packed into the set in two halves that connect by way of a socket onto a split peg in the rear of the larger of Falcon’s backpacks. The wings use a dull matt green for the top sections, this then translates to a black central section and ends with a bright silver base piece where the ‘feathers’ would sit on real wings. The orientation of the wings is determined only by two slim plastic handles about ⅓ of the way down the wing which need to be forward facing.  Starting with articulation on the wings first, and these can be ratcheted up or down on the split peg allowing them to be posed orientated down towards the ground or raised upward to an almost vertical position. Alongside this, each wing can be articulated on a hinge joint in two places with each joint pivoting backward or forward a fair way past 90 degrees. This allows a variety of posing with the wings either extended fully in flight or folded in as a defense mechanism. The Falcon figure is entirely pinless and comes with 19 points of articulation. Everything works as it should - and works with the Wingsuit for flight posing including extending the arms to line up with the grips on the wings. Sadly the grips themselves are very soft and thin, and the hands included with Falcon are not gripping hands - that leaves the posing down to a propped position rather than a true grip on the wings. The head will look up in a taking-off position, with the torso joint allowing the chest to bend up and forward as though flying. All of the joints work well with no issues and no obvious loose joints. Flight posing is of course only available via a stand - and Hasbro has chosen not to include one, even though they had a reasonably good - albeit small - version available from the Falcon & The Winter Soldier wingsuit which could have been adapted. That will leave you needing an aftermarket option to have Falcon in any of the flight positions.  The new Brave New World Falcon is a very visual figure that breaks with the norm of the blue, white, and red we quite often see with the MCU key characters and adds a complex and well-executed green, black, and silver suit to the collection. The wingsuit is impressive, bigger than any included with Sam Wilson’s Falcon, and these work with the figure articulation for some neat flying poses. It is a shame Hasbro couldn’t have included a flight stand which would make this an almost perfect package, even with the relatively redundant Redwing piece from 9 years past. Falcon very much holds his own with the associated Sam Wilson Captain America, making a very visual pair for display - albeit needing some extensive shelf real estate thanks to their wings. Over the past 10 or so years, Star Wars has run various 'product reveal' campaigns including the original Force Fridays, Mando Monday, and the recent Gift the Galaxy program. In 2025, the Star Wars product reveals will all fit under a Power the Force banner including new Hasbro action figure products as well as other key Star Wars merchandise from Lego, Funko, Jazwares, and more. The Power the Force program will include new products for Andor Season 2, the 20th Anniversary of Revenge of the Sith, and the 10th Anniversary of The Force Awakens . “How could you let the Galaxy fall to this unworthy machine of an Empire? You think yourself a survivor, but you are a failure!” Dagan Gera from the Jedi: Survivor video game from EA was released as a Star Wars Black Series figure in late 2024, part of Wave 20 of the Galaxy Collection. As with all video game figures, Dagan was badged as a Gaming Greats release using their established Cyan colouring for the text and artwork against the black box. Dagan Gera is the first single release from the Gaming Greats line to be released in the newer format Galaxy Collection boxes. He is number 27 in the line, with his artwork connecting directly to Starkiller from 2023. The rear of the box carries a brief background for Dagan Gera and his role within the game. The backing card, now also colour coordinated, features a background image of the Forest Array facility on Koboh where he was ‘imprisoned’ in his bacta tank.  Dagan Gera is a brand new figure, hence his mainline release rather than an exclusive retailer or Fan Channel release. He is wearing his High Republic Jedi robes cast in beige and overlaid with an olive green tabard trimmed in gold and inlaid with the crest of the High Republic. Connected to this and flowing down over the figure's back is a similar coloured cape with gold trim. The tabard and robes are fastened in the middle by a dark brown belt with grey and silver painted details. Dagan is also wearing a coordinated coloured glove with gold trim on his left arm - his right, as per the game, is missing with the arm socket covered by a plastic flattened sleeve folded away and up under the tabard. The outfit concludes with a pair of simple boots.  The head sculpt is a good likeness to the game and actor Cody Fern, with the Arkanian pale eggshell blue skin, pink lips, and red-ringed eyes. The hair piece is a slightly variant grey/blue and is an individual piece fixed onto the head and flows down over the back of the neck. It features a single sculpted gold-painted hair band creating a ponytail section of the flowing hair.  Gera comes with his lightsaber hilts, each using black, silver, and gold decor on the ornate hilts. These can connect together into a two-bladed saber or they can be used independently as a single-blade weapon. The blades included are translucent red as seen in the game and they arrive straight but with a slimline connective peg which will be easy to bend or snap if mishandled. Gera has no holstered options, so instead the saber hilt can fit into his single hand for wielding poses.  Dagan Gera has 14 points of articulation, although one of these is a redundant butterfly joint at the right shoulder. The legs are held in check to some degree by the cloak and tabard but have sufficient scope for some wider positions when wielding his saber. The single left arm has a relatively full range of motion, supported by the waist ball joint which allows a degree of ab crunch, helped by the way the tabard has been split at the waist so it moves with the joint. Dagan’s neck is jointed at both base and the head, but the head movement overall works only within the range allowed by the sculpted hair - but again, there is clever engineering of the hood of the cloak which allows the hair a wider breath of movement in the hollow of the hood.  For fans of the Jedi game universe, Dagan is a rare ‘unique’ figure alongside Cal Kestis with the majority of the other figures released over the years being repaints or kitbashes. The missing arm is of course accurate to the game and is replicated in the sculpt by the folded sleeve hiding much of the empty shoulder butterfly socket. This socket is of course left in place due to an exclusive variant of Dagan Gera due Spring 2025 that features the Force Illusion right arm seen in the latter stages of the game. I mention this as some fans may choose to wait for this Amazon 2-Pack  to add Dagan Gera to their collection. If you do pick up this single release, the overall look of the figure is well executed with crisp decor and sufficient articulation to give Cal Kestis someone else to fight other than Imperials and Droids. Hasbro's first Star Wars Fan Stream of 2025 was held on the 22nd of January with reveals across both The Black Series and The Vintage Collection. You can watch the video via the link below The event started with an intro to the Hasbro Star Wars team and some scene setting that this is the start of a more regular set of touchpoints through 2025 to keep a rhythm of reveals - but this means there is not as many as the quarterly Fan Streams we saw in 2024. Black Series The Black Series followed a theme of 'The World Between Worlds' from Ahsoka and kicked off with a first look at Anakin Skywalker in a Clone Wars General outfit complete with his lightsaber. The figure appears to use the majority of the previous 2021 Clone Wars Anakin which itself used much of the older Revenge of the Sith figure from 2014 (2019 Archive Update). There is however a new head sculpt and soft goods included for the full tunic. Anakin is number 17 in the Ahsoka collection. Anakin will be joined by Captain Rex in his Phase 1 Clone Armour on the new Clone Trooper body. He features a removable helmet and twin blasters. Rex is number 16 in the Ahsoka collection. These are general releases going live as of the 23rd of January 2025 for a Spring 2025 release with Hasbro Pulse quoting an April 2025 release while other independents have dates as June 2025. UK retailers are listing these figures as part of Wave 21, a six-figure wave with four more to be revealed. They then showed off some pre-production samples of the figures from the Cantina HasLab including the Tonika Sisters, Wuhur, Greedo, and Nabrun Leids. The Vintage Collection content also began with the Ahsoka reveals starting with a new Baylan Skoll from Ahsoka complete with orange bladed lightsaber. He will be joined by his apprentice Shin Hati with the same orange hued lightsaber. Just before Christmas, McFarlane held a Holiday Livestream previewing a number of early 2025 releases. Included in these reveals were a trio of new DC Collector Edition releases of Captain Cold, Guy Gardner Green Lantern, and Power Girl. McFarlane has now previewed these figures on social media. Captain Cold will be based on The Rogues, while Power Girl is taken from Power Girl: Reborn. The Guy Gardner Green Lantern is as featured in the Green Lantern Corps. Each release also has a Platinum Chase variant with the trio in alternative costumes. These will be randomly packed with shipped cases. The figures are live for preorder as of the 23rd of January 2025. They are due to ship in March 2025.
