Listed a few weeks ago on the Best Buy US website, and fully revealed at New York Toy Fair 2025, the next two NECA releases from their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Universal Monsters Series will be Shredder as Dracula and Splinter as Van Helsing. Shredder features three heads, a soft goods cape, turtle skull and candle, spear, juice jug and some lifeless rats. He is a general release available at NECA stockists and is an Ultimate release in the closed box packaging with opening front cover. Splinter comes with two head options - one with hat and one without. There are also extra hands, set of stakes, a knife, crossbow and a variety of arrows. Splinter is also an Ultimate release with closed box and opening front cover. Splinter is not listed at general suppliers and is currently only on the NECA Store online as an infivudal release and as a bundle alongside Shredder. They are both due in Spring 2025 with May being quoted by general stockists for the Shredder figure. The Loyal Subjects are adding the 80s classic toy line MASK (Mobile Armored Strike Command) to their catalogue of toys and action figures. The full reveal was made at New York Toy Fair 2025 confirming the new line is very much in scale with and pays homage to the original 1980s releases. The original toys were scanned to be recreated in this new line, with The Loyal Subjects adding a number of modern enhancements such as effect pieces and foot pegs and slots for the figures. From the images, we can see Condor (Motorbike) and Brad Turner, Thunderhawk (Car) with Matt Trakker, Switchblade (Plane) with Miles Mayhem, and the Rhino (Truck) with Bruce Sato and another Matt Trakker figure. A clearer image of the Rhino MDU (Mobile Defense Unit) has been shared exclusively on Comicbook.com along with confirmation that this new line is being released in partnership with Big Bad Toy Store with pre-orders in July 2025 and stock shipping in September 2025 including international markets. Following the image at the IGN event prior to the start of New York Toy Fair 2025 we now have a formal press release from McFarlane about their new agreement to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures. The McFarlane Turtle figures will be 5-inch in size and will be part of the Page Punchers format, including a classic comic book from the IDW Publishing TMNT catalog. One company in attendance at New York Toy Fair 2025 that have been working their social media channels hard to share their new products is Trick or Treat Studios. Not everything shared had a scale or line attached so some of these may be the larger 12-inch lines. We got a look at the 2nd Series of Killer Klowns from Outer Space in the 8 inch Scream Greats line. There was also a new Beast of Blood and Shock Monster in the retro style. Scream Greats 8-inch reveals included prototypes of Hellraiser Cenobites, Art the Clown from Terrifier and the Leprechaun. There was also a fully painted figure of The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers and more figures from Terrifier. And later into the Toy Fair weekend an image of a new Michael Myers release was provided. Other figures on show included a Scream Greats 8 inch Maniac Cop, The Crow - both movie and comic book - and figures from Robocop including Robocop and Clarence Bodiker. Army of Darkness will get a new 5 inch line in 2026 including figures of Ash, Deadite Warriors including a deluxe winged Deadite. Further 5 inch figures included Tarman from Return of the Living Dead, Bozo the Clown, Synegor from Scared to Death, Killer Clowns from Outer Space, and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There were also prototype 5 inch figures from the Day of the Dead and Trick R' Treat. And The Gate will be getting new 5 inch figures alongside a 1:1 scale Minion. The Marvel Legends team indicated not a huge amount of new reveals were to be made at New York Toy Fair, with the booth and any presentations focusing on announced product heading to market in 2025. There was however a new Marvel Legends Deluxe release on display, a further X-Force release of Archangel complete with two heads, extra hands and articulated wings and effect pieces. The booth images were further backed up by Dan from the Marvel Legends team who posted a promo image on social media and then shared the full promo pack. X-Force Archagnel will be a Summer 2025 release through the Fan Channel retailers. It opens for pre-order as of the 6th March 2025. The Hasbro Star Wars Team held a press event at New York Toy Fair Day 1 and it included a full look at the new Star Wars Retro 6-pack from A New Hope which to now had only been a Pipeline reveal. The set features Retro styled figures of Walrus Man (Pondo Baba), Dr. Evazan, Han in Stormtrooper disguise, Imperial Sandtrooper, Luke from the Yavin Ceremony, and a Rebel Fleet Trooper. Each figure is individually carded and then packed into an outer box. The set will go up for general pre-orders at Target in the US and at Fan Channel retailers including Hasbro Pulse, as of the 5th of March 2025. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. NECA are in attendance at New York Toy Fair 2025 with a booth full of new figures from across their various licenses. Most of the Images are as shared by Preternia Some highlights so far are from Sesame Street with Big Bird and Hairy Monster on show, they were joined by Oscar the Grouch who had been shrouded originally. NECA is also releasing Ultimate Stitch figures with two variants of Stitch as Elvis on display. In the Horror section, NECA are releasing products from Terrifier with Art the Clown present in what appears to be 7-inch action figure format as well as Toony Terror releases. We also got a better look at the new Beetlejuice Ultimate figures with Beetlejuice in his striped suit, his wedding Tuxedo, and an accessory set incoming. There were also Ultimate reveals for a new Michael Myers from The Curse of Michael Myers, and a new Phantom from The Curse of the Red Death. And for Chucky, a new line of blind-box figures. And from the Jaws 50th Anniversary series we can now see Ultimate Quint and Ultimate Matt Hooper as well as the newly announced Jaws the Game shark. There was a multitude of Turtles on display, but it was interesting to see the new NECA 2012 Turtle figures including all four of the Ninja Turtles, Shredder and a Foot Soldier. Another cool concept was a new pairing of Bebop and Rocksteady created to look as they might have appeared in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie - allowing NECA to expand the movie collection beyond those characters that appeared on screen. McFarlane had a booth full of new product at New York Toy Fair, including a majority of DC Multiverse and DC Direct figures. In the main DC Multiverse line we saw new figures of Superman vs Godzilla, Hourman, Connor Hawke Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Commissioner Gordon, and Batman with both Purple Suit and Orange Suit The DC Direct line up included Starman, Red Cortes, ew Superman figures, and Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow. These appear to be a mix of Page Punchers and DC Digital releases. McFarlane are also launching a new retro line inspired by DC Superfriends and we got a look at new figures from this series including Lex Luthor, Green Lantern, Bizarro, Batman, Riddler, In other licenses there was what looked to be a new Spawn, and a first look at the Keanu Reeves Brzrkr figure.
