Wonderfest 2021 Shanghai : McFarlane Toys Spawn, DC Multiverse and 1966 Batman

There haven't been many Toy events over the last year, but this year's Wonderfest in Shanghai has gone ahead over the 13th and 14th of June 2021, with a number of high profile action figure companies showing off some new products.


McFarlane were one of the few western companies to promote at the event, with a booth showing off a nuber of future releases across their Spawn and DC line. The first Spawn figures, as revealed a few weeks ago, were all in attendance giving us a clearer look at the scale of the Devastator and The Clown and a clearer look at Gunslinger, Raven and The Redeemer.



The DC figures included movie-based figures from The Suicide Squad, including the King Shark BAF. There as also the armoured Darkseid from the Snyder Cut Justice League, finally confirming this figures route to market as a Gold Label release - so exclusive to Walmart in the US.



We also get to see the new 6-inch scale DC Retro 1966 Batman figures, which appear to be carded rather than boxed. They look to include some classic 1966 "Bang" and "Pow" call outs as accessories, but it's not clear how these work with the figures. We got sight of two variants for the line with an unmasked Robin and a masked Joker likely destined as a store exclusive.
