A raft of new McFarlane DC releases have been unveiled as part of the Walmart Collector Con Event in the US. Not all of the releases are Walmart Exclusives, but they will all be available for the Collecotr Con event that starts on the 9th of October. We've added all of these to our extensive McFarlane Collector Database

They start with a new DC Digital release of Red Tornado from DC's The Bronze Age. He will feature extra hands along with a display base, and a collector card that also features a character bio. This one is not exclusive and is launching via Walmart but will get a wider release.

Up next is a Red Platinum release of The Guardian. This is a DC Multiverse release and features The Guardian and his shield as seen in DC's Action Comics. Again, this is not a Walmart exclusive and is also being found at Target stores.

In the DC Cover Recreation series is a new Gold Label Exclusive release of Green Lantern, replicating the cover artwork from DC's Emerald Twilight. Green Lantern includes Power Battery, green flame effects and a display base. The figure itself features comic-shaded paintwork.

The next reveal is a DC Multiverse Gold Label Collector release of Bane, a 'Glow-in-the-Dark' variant with special GITD paintwork. Bane also includes a display base and comes in closed collector packaging. He is an exclusive and limited to 6200 units.

Another Gold Label Exclusive is a new Jokerized Superman figure, complete with Joker makeup and Kryptonite chains. The chains are removable and you also get a set of alternative hands. Like all Jokerized releases, you also get four further Jokerized Playing Cards to add to your deck and display base.

And our final release is a DC DIrect Gold Label from Batman: The Animated Series with a deluxe boxed figure of Man-Bat. He will include two sets of arms, one with wings outstretched and one with wings folded. There are also three bottles of medicine, a casette tape, and a display base.

Red Tornado was constructed by Thomas Oscar Morrow™ to counteract the Super Heroes who interfered in his schemes. However, the android’s frame was possessed by a wandering wind elemental, and achieved unanticipated power and sentience. Joining the Justice League™, “Reddy” enjoyed friendship and loyalty. He took on the human identity John Smith, married Kathy Sutton'”, and adopted a young orphan, Traya. He has been destroyed and reconstructed repeatedly-with varying degrees of success-leading to serious impairment of function.

Born on the island of Santa Prisca, the boy who would become Bane was raised within the confines of his nation’s cruelest prison where he honed his mind by reading any books he could get his hands on. After decades of imprisonment, he was chosen for an experiment testing a super-steroid called Venom. Not only did Venom work, but it also gave Bane the strength to escape. He then set his sights on Gotham City—a place of which he had heard many legends—with one goal in mind: break Batman.

His bat-serum transformed him into a giant bat, and later did the same to his girlfriend, Francine Lee (later Langstrom). About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
