After announcing the collaboration with Hasbro this week, Super7 have now revealed the first wave of their Transformers Ultimates 7 inch figures.
The figures are of a similar vein to Hasbro's own R.E.D. presenting the Transformers in their Robot form without a Transforming feature. Wave 1 will include Optimus Prime, Banzai-Tron, Bombshell, and Starscream's Ghost - which is the glitter effect we saw on the teaser image.
Each figure comes with a variety of accessories as appropriate to the Transformer including both weapons and other elements such as the Matrix of Leadership and mini Spike Witwicky figure that arrive with Optimus.
Each figure is packed in an angled Ultimates window box with an outer sleeve that reflects their allegiance to either the Autobots or Decepticons.
Pre-orders are open until the 28th of February for this first wave. As per normal Super7 process, the items will then go into production based on pre-order numbers with a Winter 2021 release date. You can order direct from Super7 at an RRP of $55 per figure. Independent Retailers will also place orders and then facilitate orders via their site - often a better choice for UK buyers as the cost is clear upfront and will not include import costs from the US.
There is no better way to roll out a new collection of Transformers than with the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime!
