The next competitor to join the Storm Collectibles 6 inch scale Mortal Kombat line is Kung Lao who will be a quarter 3 release for 2021.
Kung Lao will feature two head sculpt options and a number of interchangeable hands. His hat is included and removable, with a second version included with a slash effect representing one of his special moves. To add some gore to that move there is also a blood slash effect. He also includes the "Friendship" rabbit to pull out of his hat as introduced in Mortal Kombat II as an alternative to Fatalities.
Pre-orders for Kung Lao are open direct with Storm, with stockists to follow.
Kung Lao's ancestor the Great Kung Lao was defeated by Goro 500 years ago in the pivotal match that saw Shang Tsung attain control of the Mortal Kombat tournament. To him this contest is about more than Eathrealm's freedom. His life's goal has been to slay Goro and win the tournament, thus restoring his family's honour. After being defeated by Liu Kang in a qualifying bout, he disguised himself as one of Shang Tsung's guards to gain admittance. Kung Lao believes he is ready for the challenge. The time to avenge his ancestor is at hand.
