Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, what Black Series figures might we get from the new trailer

The full trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu has landed, and from this and the 2025 teaser trailer, we now have a number of new characters, troops, and monsters that may well make it into the Star Wars Black Series at some point.
We already know there are six figures arriving just ahead of the movie in Spring 2026, five of which will also feature in special white 'First Edition' packaging. These focus heavily on the Imperial Remnant as well as giving us a new Mando with Grogu, and Sigourney Weaver's Colonel Ward in an X-Wing pilot uniform. We also know from Hasbro's own checklist that six more figures are planned in the mainline in Autumn 2026, with more likely as store or Hasbro Pulse exclusives.
So who and what else may be a good bet for a Black Series figure based on the new trailer?
Considering their popularity, it would be hard to look past returning characters of Embo and Zeb as future Black Series releases. This will be Embo's first live action appearance, and if we want him to come with Marrok, his annoba, then we will need to accept Embo as a Deluxe release.
The same format would likely also have to be used for Zeb, considering his size. The previous Rebels release of Zeb was a Deluxe.
While we know we are getting a new Grogu in the larger format pack with Din Djarin that launches the Galaxy Collection for the movie, there are some other looks for Grogu seen in the trailer. That will likely lead to further Black Series releases for Grogu, either standalone or as a pack in, and should really include his new Mandalorian armour, and possibly his newly 'aquired' hover chair.
The new ANzellan, seen in the trailer and as reported to be boiced by Martin Scorcese, would be a great new figure assuming he plays a role more than the brief interaction we see in the trailer. If some parts could be repurposed from the Solo release of Rio Durant.
Considering the Imperial Remnant forces already announced, it may be possible that the Imperial Warlord played by Marco Khan could see a Black Series release, assuming he also has a larger role.
We've already had a Sigourney Weaver Colonel Ward figure revealed, but not in the outfit we have seen her wearing in both the teaser and the trailer. That might mean a further release could see her in her New Republic uniform as seen in one of the LEGO releases.
We then get to the exciting, and as yet unknown, alien seen interacting with Grogu on an unnamed swamp planet. The alien talks like a mentor of sorts, and comparisons are being drawn with the Legends character of N'Kata Del Gormo, the Hysalrian who instructed Yoda.
I would also still hold out some hope for the aliens and droids we saw in the first teaser, particularly the Amani (which may or may not be Amanaman) and the larger figures of the Mantellian Savrip, and the guard Droid.
And certainly larger releases would be needed to bring us figures of The Twins or, more likely, Rotta the Hutt; ideally with his gladiatorial weaponry.
Whatever Hasbro decides to bring us in the Black Series line, you can keep track of them all in our comprehensive Star Wars Black Series Collector Database

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
