In what will surely be a divisive move across fandom, Hasbro have announced that they will be making and releasing a collection of Star Wars Kenner reproduction carded figures called the retro collection.
The line will launch as a Target exclusive in the US with reproduction figures of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and a Stormtrooper. All of these look identical to the original vintage figures with reproduction cards that then carry a circular sticker/logo identifying them as the Retro Collection.
There will also be a new addition with a Tarkin figure created for this collection in the Vintage Kenner style and packaging.
The first figures are due to arrive in May 2019 and are priced at $9.99 each at Target.
