When Diamond Select acquired Gentle Giant, there was some speculation around them being able to produce Star Wars action figures in their 7 inch Select Scale. It seems a deal has been struck to allow them to do just that, with new Select Star Wars figures being sold exclusively via Disney Stores and Parks.
The line is badged as Collectors Edition, has launched with two iconic characters, and bad guys to boot. Boba Fett, who will be painted in his Return of the Jedi colours. He will feature his blaster and a clip on blast effect. There is also a flamethrower effect for his arm unit and jet thruster effects for his backpack.
The packaging will be the usual Diamond oversized blister card with a clean white background and non-specific Star Wars logo and icons. The packaging is very much in the style of the other Star Wars Disney Store products, and very similar to the smaller 5 inch Toy Box line.
The figures will be globally released, and are already showing up in UK Disney Stores.
