Indiana Jones has always had strong ties to Star Wars through George Lucas and Lucasfilm, and therefore the opportunity was taken at Star Wars Celebration for Hasbro to show off a number of new products in their 6-inch scale Indiana Jones Adventure Series.
The next full wave of general release figures will be themed around The Temple of Doom with figures of Temple Indiana Jones, Short Round, and Thugee Hypnotised Indy taking up three slots. And a look ahead to the Dial of Destiny with figures of Indy and Helena Shaw. The wave's 'Collect-an-Artifact' will be the Thugee Skull and Sankara Stones.
There is also a call back to Raiders of the Lost Ark with a Cairo Market Indy that is exclusive to Amazon and Hasbro Pulse.
The Adventure Series will also move into some Deluxe Sets. The first is the 'Temple Escape' set from Raiders of the Lost Ark, featuring Indiana Jones as well as the plinth and golden icon from the iconic opening sequence. We also stick with Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first 2-pack in the line which brings us another Rene Belloq as well as Marcus Brody. The Temple Escape set is exclusive to Hasbro Pulse and Shop Disney, while the Belloq and Brody set is exclusive to Amazon and Hasbro Pulse.
All of the new releases can be pre-ordered as of the 13th of April and will arrive in the Autumn of 2023.
The Indiana Jones Adventure Series is also following suit with the Star Wars lines in the way of 'pipeline' reveals with six further Indy figures in development. The third wave was confirmed as being themed around The Last Crusade with a new Indy figure, Henry Jones Sr, The Grail Knight, and Elsa Schneider. There will also be two further Dial of Destiny figures with Mads Mikkelsen's Jürgen Voller, and Antonio Banderas' character Renaldo.
