As we prepare to dive back into the New Republic Era with Skeleton Crew, I've spent the last 2-weeks on a rewatch of the 'Mandoverse' Disney+ shows, and while doing so have found myself picking out a few characters who I'd consider as good additions to the Star Wars Black Series considering how much focus Hasbro is putting in this space presently. In the main, I've picked a quartet of characters from each season - and have avoided those we already know are in the pipeline.
The first two seasons of The Mandalorian have been pretty extensively covered in the Black Series so I've picked four characters from across Season 1 and 2 combined. They include Pelli Motto, Carson Teva (who could have also fit into the Ahsoka picks), Burg, and Xi'an
Moving to Book of Boba Fett and I found my choices more driven by getting Original Trilogy figures into the line, leaning into the nostalgia the show created with appearances from Max Rebo, 8D8, and the B'Omarr Monk. I also felt the Tusken Warrior warranted a figure considering their extensive role in the first half of the season.
The binge-watch then switched back to Season 3 of The Mandalorian. This series is also getting considerable releases, particularly for the various Mandalorians, but there are still gaps - particularly Jedi Master Kelleran Beq from the Order 66 Flashback scenes. I also like the pirate episodes in Season 3 so Gorian Shand and Vane would be good choices - with the latter also linking directly into Skeleton Crew. My final pick was a bit leftfield in adding Commissioner Helgait driven more by actor Christopher Lloyd in the role.
The final set of decisions were from Ahsoka Season 1, and here I suspect we will have plenty of Thrawn's Imperial Troopers incoming. I therefore put my choices in a few of the more interesting designs and characters including Ezra Bridger as found with the Noti, one or more of the Great Sisters, Jacen Syndulla, and any of the Peridea Bandits.
Some of these do have a very good chance of future releases, others are more of a pipedream in the current climate. Let me know which characters you would pick. And if you want to check out all the Mandoverse Black Series releases so far, head to our comprehensive Star Wars Black Series Database

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
