Star Wars Black Series DJ R-3X (Rex) Exclusive, Galaxy's Edge

Target in the US have loaded the placeholder page for a single release of DJ R-3X from Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge. The figure had previously been part of a Droids set sold exclusively at Galaxy's Edge, and is now getting a single release.

The figure is using the Phase 3 packaging, but includes a cut in circular panel to the side of the window that reads "transported from Galaxy's Edge trading post". The character name is coloured orange and while there are no images of the side spine, there is a slight indication from the front on box image that the side is also using that accent colour.

There is no indication of when the figure will go live for sale or when delivery will be, this post will be updated when we have more details. The figure is a Target Exclusive in the US as part of a new line of Galaxy's Edge merchandise confirmed by StarWars.com. We would hope there will be Worldwide distribution via the Fan Channel.

"StarWars.com is thrilled to announce that new products inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the popular Star Wars-themed land at Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort, are coming soon exclusively to Target and Target.com. Starting August 30, look for the Trading Outpost collection in stores and online for toys, collectibles, fashion items, books, and more, all expanding on the stories and excitement of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge."

In the heart of the infamous Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, Rex is a droid reprogrammed to be a DJ in Oga’s Cantina, playing the latest hits from around the galaxy.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
