Star Trek Prodigy figure images courtesy of Amazon US

Courtesy of listings on Amazon US, a full set of promo images are now available for the Star Trek Universe Prodigy figures from Playmates. The four-figure wave of Dal R'el with Murf, Zero, Gwyndala, and Jankom Pog are now listed for release in May 2023.

The figures all feature character-appropriate accessories, and a different version of the Starfleet badge display base than was packed with the earlier releases from TNG, Wrath of Khan, and Discovery. The Prodigy figures also feature series-specific card backs that also include a short character bio - something missing from the earlier releases. These cards also include exclusive game content for the Star Trek Prodigy Supernova video game and a QR code link to the Playmates Star Trek site for Prodigy.

Six very different intergalactic kids team up after escaping captivity and launching themselves into space aboard the U.S.S. Protostar. With the help of a hologram mentor, they warp across the Milky Way in search of Starfleet, answers, and a better future among the stars. An orphan with mysterious origins, Dal R’El is searching for a place to belong. He’s only in charge of the U.S.S. Protostar because he says so, but with his can-do attitude, he’s a good fit for the captain’s chair. Dal believes the impossible is possible. You can watch the adventures of DAL and his fellow escapees on “Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1”, which is now streaming on Paramount+.

Zero is a body-less, genderless, energy-based lifeform whose true appearance can drive anyone insane. To protect everyone, Zero wears a containment suit made from castoff materials. Curious and intelligent, Zero is a telepath who just wants to help those around them. You can watch the adventures of Zero and his fellow escapees on “Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1”, which is now streaming on Paramount+.

Her mastery of languages lets her communicate with any species the crew encounters. She uses her Neuroflux abilities to manipulate her fretwork into anything she needs, like a battle sword and shield. You can watch the adventures of Gwyn and her fellow travelers on “Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1”, which is now streaming on Paramount+.

Jankom Pog tinkers with anything mechanical—even when he’s not supposed to—and he has yet to find an engine he can’t fix with his trusty Multi-Mitt. Like any Tellarite, Jankom loves to argue, but he’s great at getting the crew out of a jam. You can watch the adventures of Jankom and his fellow escapees on “Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1”, which is now streaming on Paramount+.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
