SH Figuarts Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2

Tamashii Nations appear to have some big plans for bringing the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 to their SH Figuarts range of figures.

A number of promotional images have been revealed showing Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot in 1/12 scale.

Star-Lord looks to be coming with a Chris Pratt head as well as a helmeted version. His Element Blasters are also included. From what we can gather Peter Quill will be released in September 2017 as a stand-alone release. His RRP is 6264 Yen (£45 / $57)

Rocket is in his new blue jumpsuit with hand guns. He will be released with three head options. One is neutral, one is smiling and the other is shouting. There are two versions of Baby Groot pictured. One is Groot without clothes, the other is wearing the red jumpsuit we see in the trailer.

Rocket & Baby Groot are listed as a separate release for 3780 Yen (£27 / $35).

Both releases have now been confirmed as being a Tamashii Webstore exclusives in Japan.Of course that makes these pretty hard to obtain outside of Japan - but there may still be an opportunity if the US distributor Bluefin can strike an arrangement to release these in the US - perhaps as a deluxe set of three, or with other pack-ins.

We don't know at this stage if SHF are planning on a full set of Guardians? They haven't got the best track record of team building, with Avengers fans having to wait an age for Hawkeye and Black Widow to complete their Avengers line up.

More details as we get them...
