As is common with SH Figuart news, details of this new Chewbacca 1/12 figure broke via a scanned catalogue page. It was followed up 24hours later with the official images - see the gallery below.
Chewie will be based on his appearance in A New Hope and will come with Bowcaster and Ammo Belt. The figure will come with two different facial expressions - one closed mouth, one open mouth. This is achieved via a swap out head option. Chewie should hit stores in April 2017 and is a general release. RRP is 6264 Yen - so £46 / $57.
The one criticism, based solely on these images, is that he looks a little short for a Wookiee. Compared to the Figuarts Han Solo then Chewie is considerably undersized.
