From Godzilla Minus One comes this new Tamashii Nations S.H. Monsterarts release of Godzilla, the Odo Island Monster.

The figure is a general release and is open for pre-orders as of the 6th of March with Godzilla due to ship in October of 2026.
In its pre-transformation form that destroyed the Defense Force on Odo Island, "Godzilla [2023]" is now available as an S.H.MonsterArts thanks to the design and modeling of Yuji Sakai. Utilizing the CG from the film, this figure accurately captures the more forward leaning posture, larger head, and thinner torso and legs that represented the more dinosaur-like pre-transformation form of Godzilla in the film. Even the differences in skin-structure and dorsal fin-shape have been accurately reproduced.
The coloring has been carefully monitored to capture the lifelike feeling as well as draw out the details of the skin and dorsal fins. The figure's range of articulation has been made to allow for a wide range of movement, including swaying of the neck that allows for the signature poses such as the upwards bellowing roars that this form of Godzilla makes in the film. A special stand with pedestal that has the logo of the "Godzilla -1.0" film and the Japanese characters used to spell out "Godzilla" for this pre-transformation form is also included.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
