“Everything's coming up Turgle!”
The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game from EA and its sequel, Jedi: Survivor, has been broadly well-received over the past few years by fans of the Star Wars franchise and has introduced a number of new characters and lore into the Star Wars canon. The Protagonist, Cal Kestis, has a number of Star Wars Black Series releases to his name,e with the latest part of an Amazon Exclusive Jedi: Survivor boxset.
The new multi-pack was released in July 2025 and features a new iteration of Cal Kestis from the second game, alongside his trusty droid BD-1 in a variant colour scheme. Joining Cal and BD and expanding the ‘Jedi’ collection further are the new characters of Turgle and Skoova Stev. The pack is a Gaming Greats release and comes in the turquoise colour scheme assigned to this collection as well as featuring a foil Gaming Greats hexagon sticker on the box window. The release is not numbered, and the side artwork does not connect to other sets and instead is a self enclosed montage feature Cal, BD-1, Turgle, and Skoova.
Larger versions of the artwork can be found on the back of the box alongside a short synopsis of the game, where it sits in relation to the first game, and how Cal meets up with the likes of Turgle and Skoova during his travels. Inside the box, the backing card is presented in the same accent colour as the artwork, and like all newer releases, features an embedded backdrop. This one is the clearest we’ve seen to date, illustrating the buildings on the planet Kobah, a central location in the game.
Unpacking the figures, we will start with Cal who is a re-use of the 2023 released figure but with an updated vest piece and revised colouring. Cal’s outfit in the game are widely customizable based on collected items, with this figure using the basic off white Cal Kestis shirt with folded down collar, the Scoundel jacket in a mid-blue, and the basic trousers in a darker brown colour with grey boots and a yellow trim. Most of the body parts are cast in their base colour with he outfit accessories with a right wrist bracer in silver, some code cylinders on the left arm in silver, a base belt with silver buckles, and a gun slinger belt that is a mix of a ridged brown strap and a darker black holster and thigh strap.
Cal features an updated headsculpt compared to the first Jedi: Survivor release. This is a good likeness to actor Cameron Monaghan, and inclusive of facial printing with the visible scar across Cal’s nose. The hair style is a trimmed, short-cropped cut in a base red hair finish, with similar decor used on the short cropped beard. The head is smaller than previous Cal Kestis releases, and is perhaps marginally under proportioned to the body. This is more noticeable when posed with other human characters.
A second head is included featuring the ‘iconic’ mullet and heavy goatee beard, which is another customizable option in the game. Again, the likeness is strong, and facial printing adds the required level of realism. The look is not one everyone will love, but has appeal to those fans who appreciate the collectible customisation aspect of the game, and this particular piece, which is obtained on Koboh in the Derelict Dam. I found the head swap between the standard head and the Mullet difficult, with the mullet head never quite clicking into the ball joint securely.
For those who want to go further on customisation, the head of the 2023 Cal Kestis with a slightly longer hairstyle and with limited facial hair, can be swapped around with the heads in this new set. I did find the 2023 figure didn’t give up its head as easy as the new one, and the peg can come out with the head.
vs 2023 Jedi: Survivor Release and the previous Jedi: Fallen Order releases
Heads can be shared across both of the Jedi: Survivor releases
Cal’s accessories start with his blaster, a new mechanic in the 2nd game, allowing Kestis to fight with a blaster as well as his lightsaber. This is the same blaster as the earlier Jedi: Survivor release, but is paired back in terms of finish from the original polished silver with brown handle to a dull grey base plastic alongside the same brown handle. The blaster can be holstered in the left hip holster or wielded in the left hand, which includes a trigger finger.
Another customizable option in the game is Cal’s lightsaber, with the game mechanics allowing a single blade, twin blades, dual blades, and even a crossguard lightsaber. For the first time, this set provides all of these as accessory options, allowing a level of freedom that has been missing from previous Kestis releases, where only his base lightsaber is included. All the hilts follow the same basic principle of design with a grey cast plastic and black painted grip sections.
The two single blade hilts all feature a belt hanging option by way of a hook and plug option, which is useable but less than secure. Each hilt fits into the right hand as the lead hand, but two-handed poses are also workable. There are two blades included which means you can display Cal with twin sabers or with the duel saber. These blades are white translucent, again reflecting the game and the mechanics of customisation, but the colour choice is a little stale considering Cal has access to much more visual colours such as purple and yellow.
Despite all the releases to date, we still do not have access to that level of customization for Cal’s lightsaber blades. It is worth noting that the blue blade from the 2023 release fits these new hilts, and it is likely that some of the other existing Black Series blades will work as well.
Cal Kestis features 19 points of pinless articulation, providing him a wide range of movement and no substantial obstructions with armour or bulky clothing. There is enough range in the legs for kneeling as well as wider fighting stances. The arms support single and two handed lightsaber poses, with the butterfly shoulders particularly useful in the latter. The waist joint, hidden behind the belt and jacket adds some torso movement, while the dual joint neck allows basic head movements without the need for a visible peg, but lacks overall range with the base joint practical immobile within the shirt collar.
The second ‘full-sized’ figure in the set is Turgle, the frog-like non-player character whom you encounter during the game on Koboh. He is recreated as we find him in the game, with an amphibious body in green with brown skin variations down the lower arms and lower legs, and a paler yellow pattern on the chest and the top of the head. The wide, frog-like mouth is sculpted partly open with a pink tongue within. Above and to the side of the mouth are Turgle’s eyes on stalk-like protrusions with a black gloss eye at the end of each stalk.
Turgle’s only clothing as such is his gunslinger belt in dark brown plastic and with no other detailing save a holster to the right hand side. In this fits his blaster, a similar design to Cal’s but with a stockier barrel, shorter length overall, and narrower grip. This is cast in grey and features a single piece of orange decor on the top of the piece. It fits into Turgle’s right hand, or can remain holstered depending on your preference.
While Turgle is essentially a full-sized 6-inch scale figure, his articulation is heavily pared back to just 8 points of articulation. The legs are only jointed at the hips and ankles, meaning Turgle cannot bend, sit, or kneel. The ankles are also quite weak and sometimes struggle to hold up the top-heavy Turgle as they have quite a large gap between ratchets to allow them to be secured when positioned. The arms, like the legs, have a joint at the top shoulder and at the wrist with nothing in between. The head, mouth, and eyes are all fixed despite being robust enough to be articulated in some fashion.
This limited articulation makes Turgle limited in his posing, and while he can raise his hands to fire his blaster or to simply gesticulate to Cal, there is not much more range that can be achieved.
The other new character in the set is Skoova Stev, the diminutive Sakavian master-fisherman who shows up throghout the game. Skoova is scaled appropiately to both Cal and Turgle, standing just under 2inches tall. He is wearing his blue suit as seen in the game, this is the base cast colour of the figure, and then overpainted with further black detailing around this belt and on his arms.
Skoova is wearing his diving helmet, an individual piece that includes a complex base section with associated pipes and vents and some limpets or cockles attached and painted in a deep burgundy colour. The helmet then translates to a large translucent plastic dome topped off with a burgundy starfish attached - again as seen in the game.
With the helmet removed, you can then see the detail of Skoova’s headsculpt, matching the Sakavian shrink-like physiology in a fleshy pink tone, with protruding eye stalks with black eyes, and a mass of grey painted whiskers - the finish of which is quite messy, even at this smaller scale.
The helmet locks back in place via a plug and socket at the back, and also incorporates a plug in stowed option for Skoova’s fishing pole, an included accessory. This is a short black plastic piece with limited detail save a wider end which is trying to replicate the duel jooks we see on Skooba’s gear in the game. It lacks any decor and can fit into either of Skoova’s hands for fishing or be slotted into the helmet in either direction.
Articulation on Skoova Stev is limited as we would expect for his size. There are just two joints, rudimentary ball joints at the shoulders, allowing some variation in arm position. His physique would make any leg articulation difficult, and the head being within the helmet for much of the time negates the need for a neck joint.
Our set is concluded by BD-1, this is the same base BD-1 as included in all of the Cal Kestis single releases to date and that has also been used in one of the Mandalorian sets to replicate Peli’s BD-82 Droid. In the game BD-1’s colour scheme is customizable, and so far we’ve had a base version in off-white, a burgundy BD-1, and an off-white with red highlights. This newest version is a crisper, brighter white with blue highlights. While this is game accurate, its not the most exciting version of BD-1 we see with much bolder visuals available.
Proportionally, he is the correct size at just 1.5 inches tall. He features five points of articulation (nearly as many as Turgle), which is impressive for the small droid. This includes two joints per leg and a ball joint head that allows full rotation and also the ability to angle the head, a key way he emotes in the game.
We still have no engineered way to have BD-1 ride on Cal’s back. You can make this work, as I did, with some hidden fixing like Blu-tac or similar. There is also a method of tucking BD-1’s feet into the bottom of Cal’s jacket, as seen in some of the promo images, although this is far from practical, as the arm will hide him from view. Thankfully, BD-1 will stand securely on his own.
Amazon has this set priced at £49.99, but I would suspect that price may fall in the coming months, a scenario we have seen with other Jedi videogame releases. Handing the exclusivity to Amazon solely does bring with it some issues for those collecting mint-in-box with Amazon minimising protective packaging and even shipping out in its own box with a label slapped on it unless you check the right box when ordering.
On paper, for your £50, you are getting four characters from the game, albeit that two of them should be categorised as accessories rather than figures. Cal Kesti does feature some added value vs his previous single release, thanks to the additional head and four lightsaber hilt options, although the figure is still basically a re-use with just a new jacket and those new heads. And it is worth noting that those heads are a tad on the small side. Turgle loosk great but has been shortchanged on articulation and is likely to be a pain for display with very weak ankles and a body shape that is very much top heavy. You also don’t get a peg hole to secure him into a stand.
Stoova Stev is pretty good for his size, and I like the detail of his helmet, while the head feels lazily painted because it will sit behind the clear plastic dome. BD-1, who finalises the set, is another re-use of a mold that is now 6-years old. Color choices for BD-1 and indeed Cal’s lightsaber blades appear drab and neutral compared to some of the bolder choices in the game. For me, throwing in a few more colour blades and being bolder with BD-1 would have offset some of the decisions to cut back on Turgle’s articulation.
One for the fans of the Jedi games, and one that expands that collection into some allies of Cal rather than what has been a stream of enemies released to date.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
