"Oh! Yes, yes! Classic John Byrne, brown and tan! Now, you've fought the Hulk in this outfit, right?"
When Deadpool & Wolverine hit our screens in 2024, it was clear that there was a large raft of characters who took part in the movie who we as collectors might want to join our Marvel Legends display. The first wave for the movie was relatively modest, with figures of Deadpool, Wolverine, and a pack featuring Headpool and a civilian Logan from the early bar scenes. We’ve had to wait until Spring of 2026 for the next batch of Deadpool & Wolverine MCU movie figures, with a full six-figure wave released and headed up by a 7th Deluxe release of Dogpool and Deadpool. From the single boxed wave, our review here looks at one of the many Wolverine/Logan variants we see in the film, this one being the brown-suited Wolverine who is found fighting Hulk.
Wolverine (Brown Suit) is packed in the standard Legends box, black in tone, with the Marvel Legends logo at the top left and the movie logo across the bottom, underneath the window. The character name is shown via a side callout, printed to look like a rip in the box. While other Wolverines released so far have not used subtitles, this one does have the text “Brown Suit” in brackets to differentiate it from other releases.
To the right-hand side of the box is a full image of Logan, masked, staring directly at the camera. This image is used again, but smaller, on the opposite spine and on the back of the box. The box reverse has a short piece of text that talks about Deadpool finding this Wolverine variant as he starts universe-hopping at the start of the movie. Underneath this, and in another ‘torn out’ panel, is a checklist for the accompanying single-figure wave with headshots of each of the figures included.
Brown Suit Wolverine is packed into the usual inner plastic tray, and that is then sat into a folded cardback sleeve. This sleeve is the same as is being used across the entirety of the 2026 wave, a white/grey finish and covered in Deadpool doodles. As these have always focused on the primary characters with pictures of claws, the X-Men logo, and the word ‘Snikt’, they remain apt for this release.
While the comic book Legends line has seen this costume before, the figure does not appear to re-use any existing parts and is designed from the ground up to match Hugh Jackman in costume as we find him, albeit briefly, in Deadpool vs Wolverine. The suit is cast to mirror the texture and patterns of the movie suit, with the bulk of it cast in brown, with the yellow panels down the sides neatly painted over the top, complete with black lining and black trim.
The arms are covered at the shoulders, then bare skin down to a pair of textured brown gloves with more black trim and a yellow trim at the forefinger. The boots are similar, brown in colour, with a flared top trim that mimics the Wolverine mask. The costume is finished with a deep burgundy leather textured belt with black trim, black clips and a central silver and black X-Men rectangular logo.
In the movie, the short scenes featuring this Wolverine have him unmasked, but for this release, Hasbro and their Legends team have taken a different approach. It's quite clever to have included a masked head even without it appearing on screen, predicting that this would be something collectors would want. This head is therefore cast like the costume with the main head covering in a textured yellow, and the front mask a deep black, with white painted eyes. The exposed part of the face uses realistic print technology to add facial hair and detail around the mouth that looks like Hugh Jackman.
This masked head is similar in style, finish and colour to the other X-Men yellow-suited Wolverines from the movie, but with a varied expression, teeth gritted. This means you can swap it with other figures as all the neck pegs are compatible. This then leads to the other part of the decision Hasbro has made regarding the head, as there is no unmasked head included.
What Hasbro have decided is that us fans would probably prefer the masked look, and for those wanting the screen-accurate unmasked Wolverine, the previous Jackman heads released across the other Deadpool & Wolverine figures, including Logan, can be used to create that look. So, instead of then packing the extra head, they’ve developed and included a variant neck piece so that the collar leads into a skin-toned neck before the head. They’ve then given us a mask piece in softer plastic that can be displayed as though folded back over the head and onto the back of Wolverine, or held in the hand as an accessory.
The sole other accessories are the hand choices, with Wolverine arriving with the extended clawed hands with the claws themselves in their usual shape and cast in silver plastic. These can be swapped with a second pair of hands, which feature a clenched right fist and a gripping left hand that can hold the mask.
Articulation is 22 points in total, giving Logan a full breath of motion for posing and display. The legs have a robust ankle rocker for stability, followed by dual-joint knees, thigh swivel and ball joint hips. These allow Wolverine to stand, kneel, crouch or prepare for battle.
The upper body includes a waist rotation and a ball joint torso, so the abcrunch to have him slightly hunched, ready to strike is there, just not as extensive as you might get with the T-joint we see on the other movie Wolverines from the same collection. The arms have butterfly shoulders, bicep swivels, dual-joint elbows and wrist pivots for an array of positions. And the neck (either piece) is jointed top and bottom to aid in expressions using the masked or donated unmasked head.
The short scene, and this follow-up figure, are so nice in terms of giving Hugh Jackman that classic comic book look in a costume arguably nicer than the yellow and blue we see the main Logan wear in the movie. The figure ticks all the boxes for a Marvel Legends in terms of sculpt, decor, and likeness, with a strong articulation setup, save for the torso joint.
The decision to only include one head and allow collectors to donate the screen-accurate unmasked head from other releases won’t please everyone, but there are enough of these other heads spare that I can see the logic in developing the mask and neck pieces instead. Purists will argue the set should have included everything it did plus the head, but considering the figure looks new from the ground up I expect that would have ben cost restrictive.
Deadpool and Wolverine as a movie is the biggest ensemble of characters we’ve had in the MCU since Endgame, and it is good to see Hasbro are developing figures beyond the movie's 2024 release to do it justice. We do, however, still have gaps, and it will be interesting to see if we get these core gaps filled, or if the route taken is more Deadpool and Wolverine variations. That being said, I would have no issue with a Cavillrine or a Patch Logan, as long as we also fill in the likes of Pyro, Johnny Storm, Elektra, and Gambit, who had more screentime.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
