Review: Marvel Legends Deluxe Dogpool and Deadpool from Deadpool & Wolverine

When Deadpool & Wolverine hit our screens in 2024, it was clear that there was a large raft of characters who took part in the movie who we as collectors might want to join our Marvel Legends display. The first wave for the movie was relatively modest at three releases, with figures of Deadpool, Wolverine, and a pack featuring Headpool and a civilian Logan from the early bar scenes. We’ve had to wait until Spring of 2026 for the next batch of Deadpool & Wolverine MCU movie figures, with a full six-figure wave released and headed up by a 7th Deluxe release of Dogpool and Deadpool. It is that Deluxe pack we are reviewing here.
The Dogpool set arrives in the wider Deluxe box with the same height and depth dimensions as the single figures. It's black in tone, with the Marvel Legends logo at the top left and the movie logo across the bottom, underneath the window. The character details are shown on a side callout, printed to look like a rip in the box, and Hasbro has headlined the release as Dogpool & Deadpool, the same principle they applied to Headpool in 2024.
To the right-hand side of the box is a full image of Dogpool, with the same character header at the top but now orientated the right way. This same image, but smaller, is used on the left-hand spine where the window wraps around partially. The rear of the box is the first part of the packaging to show Deadpool, and he is pictured holding Deadpool in a red love heart with hand-drawn hearts around him. Underneath this, and in another ‘torn out’ panel, is a checklist for the accompanying single-figure wave with headshots of each of the figures included.
Dogpool and Deadpool are sat in an inner tray as usual, and surrounded by accessories. While there are no ties or clips, some of the smaller accessories are taped in place. The tray then sits into the cardboard inner that acts as the cardback. This is covered in Deadpool hand-drawn artwork, specifically Dogpool focused and therefore different to the packaging used on the previous 2024 figures and the main wave that accompanies the Deluxe.
While not the ‘main’ character in the set, we will tackle Deadpool first, who is pretty much the same figure as released in 2024, sporting the new DP outfit the TVA fashions for him at the start of the movie. This is cast in textured red and black, depending on the part, with the alternating colour painted over. Buckles and straps are picked up in silver, with the odd flash of gold around the chest section, around the thigh straps, and on the boots. The belt is the most detailed part with a Deadpool buckle in red, black and white with a metallic sheen. The accompanying clips are in gold and brown, with the pouches around the belt also coloured brown with gold trim.
There is one head sculpt only, so still no unmasked Wade Wilson head for the Legends MCU line, and, like the main costume, is cast in a textured red with black painted around the eyes, and the eyes themselves picked up in white. The costume incorporates a number of weapon storage pieces, which we will see more of shortly, but there is the cross holster on the back for his swords, twin holsters on the thighs for his guns, and a shin holster for Baby Knife on his right leg.
vs the 2024 Single Release (right)
Comparing the 2026 release with 2024, you can see no discernible difference other than some minor colour variations, which are to be expected from two different factory runs. Which ‘red’ is preferred will be a personal choice, and I myself do like the marginally darker red of the new release. This aside, the set is being sold purely on the accessories within and that Dogpool figurine.
Those accessories start with ‘Hulk Hands’ playing on the conversation with Deadpool and Happy Hogan early in the movie. These are essentially shrunk-down versions of the existing kids' toys, designed with a hollow section within to fit over Deadpool’s own hands. They are cast in green, are marginally flexible, and are probably not going to feature on most people’s displays. Very much a bit of fun in the spirit of the tone of the movie.
Next, we move to the start of Deadpool & Wolverine and the scene at Logan’s grave where Deadpool uses Logan’s Adamantium skeleton to battle the TVA. The set includes two Adamantium bone ‘weapons’ with silver cast bones connected by muscular tissue. One of these is straight, the other bent at a 90-degree angle, and they fit into either of DP’s gripping hands to be wielded as weapons either singularly, or together, like nunchucks.
You can then also wield Logan’s skull, another silver skeletal piece featuring both a skull and the spine, which Deadpool can wield around like a club. The skull features extra decor, including some residual skin, picked out in a pale, sickly yellow, and white painted teeth with the front one missing. The skull sits on a ball joint where it joins the spine, making it articulated to a degree.
The final parts of Logan’s body are the Adamantium claws, which come on the figure as you unpack it. These are removable and are cleverly engineered with the tissue straps flexible to go around and over the figure's forearms, securing the Adamantium claws in position for Wolverine-esque posing
Before we move to the more traditional of Deadpool’s weapons, we should note the figure comes with three different sets of hands and a final extra right hand to accommodate the various guns, swords, and the knife. We will look at the weaponry-toting hands in a moment, but should mention that DP comes with a pair of clenched fists for hand-to-hand combat, and these are the best for using with the Wolverine Claws and the Hulk Hands. There are then a pair of ‘webslinging’ hands, paying homage to Deadpool’s own hero Spider-Man and some of the comic book covers where he mimics the webslinging hand gestures. These hands all slot in and out easily enough, and all of them are painted to mirror the costume with a black hand, red wrist, and gold bars down the back of the hand.
Weapon one is ‘Baby Knife’, the same as was included on the 2024 release. This has a simple silver blade and a gloss black handle and slips into the holster on Deadpool’s right shin. Because the normal ‘sword’ hands are a bit too wide to hold this securely, an extra right hand with a tighter grip has been included to wield the knife in forehand or backhand grips.
We then move to Deadpool’s Katanas, again the same as the 2024 release, which, like the knife, have a silver blade and a ribbed black grip. These can be holstered in the reverse cross-holster and then drawn and held using the pair of sword hands.
The final addition to Deadpool’s arsenal are the Gold Plate Desert Eagle pisteleroos he covets from Nicepool, and eventually ‘inherits’ towards the end of the movie. In action figure form,I did expect these might be the same gun as 2024, but recast in gold. It was therefore great to see these are new for the MCU line and mimic the profile of a Desert Eagle pistol, although the gold plastic chosen is perhaps a bit too bright and ‘plasticky ’, which cheapens the effect.
The guns can be holstered, or held in the gun-toting hands where both left and right options have a trigger finger that engages into place.
All of these myriad of accessories and weapons are supported by 22 points of pinless articulation. Deadpool has a relatively full range of motion with legs that can crouch and kneel and arms that can aim pistols, point swords for duelling, or even swing round the Logan Skull as a flail. The head is jointed at the top and bottom, but most of the base movement is locked. That still allows Deadpool to cock his head to imitate a lot of what he does on screen in the mask. The main trunk of the body has a T-joint ab crunch, which allows for some forward movement, important to match Wolverine and his claws out ready for battle stance. Rotation for the torso is provided at the waist and is neatly disguised by the belt.
So now the headliner of the set, Dogpool, and she is a scaled figurine replicating his outfit from the film. This is made up of a red & black costume and boots, one for each foot, textured like the main figure and inclusive of a tiny Deadpool face logo on the very front in red, with white eyes. There is a central belt sculpted into the body and painted brown, as are the attached pouches. Dogpool’s fur is brown and also textured, with her tiny tail protruding at the back.
The head is the only movable piece, plugged in at the neck of the mini-Deadpool custom and able to rotate 360 degrees (not that this is natural for a dog). The head features the shock of white fur on her head and at her cheeks. Eyes are painted black, while the trademark tongue is a pink colour.
This is a figurine rather than a figure, thanks to the static pose and very limited articulation. She is sculpted seated, to sit alongside your figures, but will also work in held poses with Deadpool, either held in two hands in front or one hand to the side.
The set retails here in the UK at £39.99, and for the extra £15 vs the older single release, you are coming away with a Dogpool, Hulk Hands, and the Adamantium bone weaponry. Deadpool himself is unchanged and offers nothing to enhance your display other than the accessories if you already bought the 2024 release. A variant head would have been welcomed, either with a different expression around the eyes or the long-asked-for unmasked Wade Wilson head.
Those extra accessories are all quite fun, and work well enough with the figure for replicating specific scenes, although none of them are particularly detailed or well-painted. The upgrade to the Gold Desert Eagles in another welcome touch vs the original, but the execution looks a little cheap - black and dark grey work fine on weaponry, other colours do allow you to see the flaws in the sculpt and lack of added detail where needed.
Dogpool is fine, and I did not expect anything articulated at that scale. The chosen 'sit' position works with the figure or on its own, and the decor is enough to replicate the movie, but like the accessories is less detailed than you might hope when inspected close up.
Any Deadpool wave, movie or otherwise, is going to be headlined by Wade Wilson. This one should have added in a couple more pieces to appeal to fans (unmasked head), or it could have taken a bigger risk and replaced Deadpool completely with Lady Deadpool, while still packing in the accessories for fans to use on their older figure (a technique we will see applied in the accompanying wave).
