If you are a child of the 70's or early 80's like myself, and a Star Wars fan, then you need to keep an eye out in your local Asda store.
Hasbro have released the Retro Collection (the Vintage collection had already been taken) a set of 6 figures based on the original Kenner moulds and packed in the original packaging with printed shelf wear. The figures have been available via independent specialists, but now Asda are taking us all the way back to those glorious days of Kenner Star Wars with these arriving on toy section shelves at £9.97 each.
Asda are quoting the 19th of October for their new Star Wars products, but a lot of stores are going early on these (and the new Rise of Skywalker 5 inch line).
There are six figures in total - Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper and Darth Vader. A Grand Moff Tarkin, unproduced originally, is also available via an Escape from the Death Star board game - this is not at Asda (as far as we know).
What are your thoughts about the Retro collection? Will you be buying? Will you be keeping them carded? And will you be removing the large "Retro Collection" sticker from the front? Let us know here or on our social channels
