There were plenty of new action figures on display at the NECA NYCC 2025 booth, headlined (for me anyway) by the Predator: Badlands figures including an Ultiamte release of Dek (Predator) who is a Q2 2026 (April - June) release. He will be joined by the Weyland-Yutani android Thia, alongside Bud - this is a Quarter 4 (Oct-Dec) release for 2026

In the NECA Horror franchise lines, we got sight of two more releases for Terrifier with the Ultimate Little Pale Girl release and Art the Clown as Santa. Both are listed as Q1 releases for 2026 (Jan - March). We also had another look at the Friday the 13th The Game Savini version of Jason Voorhees, a Q2 release for 2026 (April - June). And from Scream comes a new Ghostface Returns Ultimate release.

There is also the usual plethora of new Turtles reveals, including the Mirage Comics Foot Demons 2-Packs and a Triceraton Shock Commando.

In the TMNT 1987 Cartoon Series, we have a new set featuring the robot versions of Tokka and Rahzar.

And joining the TMNT line is the Stan Sakai Turtles with a crossover series with Usagi Yojimbo. And from the same source comes a new Ultimate Tiger Claw figure.

The Sesame Street line is also gathering pace, with new figures on display including Herry Monster, Sherlock Hemlock with Watson , Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
