It is the final week of the Target Fall Geek Out event in the US, and with it has come a handful of new NECA pre-orders. The first is from their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mirage Comics series with the red-shirted variant of Casey Jones.
Casey is the same figure as released in 2022 as a general release with white shirt, the new variant includes the same alternative heads, hockey mask accessory, weapons and alternative hands. This new 2023 variant also now adds an Umbrella into the mix as an additional weapon as well as some more hands and interchangeable arms for another variation to the overall look.
This new Casey Jones does not appear to be a Target Exclusive, but instead is a First to Market arrangement. This means a wider release is incoming.
Based on the original Eastman & Laird Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books from Mirage Studios! Masked vigilante (and sporting goods enthusiast) Casey Jones is on a mission to rid the streets of scumbags by any means necessary. You might think a slightly unstable guy with a golf bag full of “crime-fighting tools” would be a strange ally for the Turtles, but a wise man finds friends in the unlikeliest places! Casey in Red Shirt stands approximately 7" tall, and includes interchangeable heads and hands, swappable arms (gloved and wrapped versions) plus umbrella, hockey mask, golf bag, bats, hockey stick, and golf club! Comes in special comic-book themed window box packaging illustrated by Kevin Eastman. GOONGALA!

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
