NECA reveals the Dog Creature from The Thing

From John Carpenter's iconic movie, The Thing comes the Dog Creature from NECA. This release has been teased over the last few months and is now one step closer to release with this gallery of images and pre-orders opening at all NEA stockists ahead of a September 2023 release,

The set contains 25 interchangeable parts allowing you to create your own version of the creature starting with the dog and morphing into something more horrific. It will come in the Ultimate style packaging with opening front cover - there is no packaging image as yet.

From The Thing, John Carpenter's acclaimed 1982 slow-build horror film classic! Deep in the Antarctic circle, an isolated research team finds something that's been waiting for over 100,000 years... something with the ability to become one of them. Or, as they discover, any organic creature.

From ordinary dog to morphing monstrosity, this fully articulated deluxe figure includes more than 25 interchangeable pieces to customize your Dog Creature for maximum horror. Comes in collector-friendly 5-panel packaging with opening front flap.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
