NECA reveal Colonel James Cameron in their Aliens line

NECA have teased a final Aliens figure would be revealed at SDCC 2017. The figure would round off the 30th Anniversary releases and would be exclusive to Toys R Us.

The figure was revealed today as a James Cameron figure in USCM Colonial Marine armour. Colonel Cameron uses the Frost/Windrix body, with new sculpted head likeness of the 1986 Aliens Director. He will be articulated with 25 POA and will be packed with a number of decorative details like a Canadian flag, Pandora Planet Patch (Avatar) and a Lightstorm logo (James' own company). Accessories will include a pulse rifle, tracking device as well as a clapboard and viewfinder.

Colonel Cameron will be shipping in November as a Toys R Us Exclusive. He can also be ordered via the Neca Alien X club, but NECA have confirmed he is not a required purchase for ongoing club membership.

Director James Cameron joins the Aliens universe as an action figure! The first-ever action figure featuring his likeness is a tribute to the process of creating the movie Aliens as well as the director himself. USCM Colonel Cameron becomes the highest-ranking officer in the Aliens movie universe.

The 7" scale figure has over 25 points of articulation and features the likeness of James Cameron as he appeared during the filming of Aliens. There are a few fun Easter eggs relating to the director hidden on the figure itself: a Canadian flag shoulder patch, the Lightstorm logo, and a Pandora planet patch.

The figure comes with pistol, pulse rifle, and tracking device, plus two "behind-the-scenes" accessories: a replica clapboard and the viewfinder Cameron wore around his neck while filming for setting up shots.
