NECA Jaws 8-inch clothed figure of Matt Hooper, Shark Cage

While we are still waiting for Bruce the Shark from NECA, they have unveiled a brand new Jaws figure in the 8-inch action figure line. Matt Hooper, as seen in the Shark Tank dive sequence, will come with an articulated body wearing a tailored wetsuit. He has two head-sculpts, one with glasses and one without.

Hooper will feature a number of accessories appropriate to the scenes including the flippers, oxygen tank, and goggles for his diving gear - as well as the underwater torch, knife, and spear used in the shark cage.

Shark Cage Matt Hooper is planned as an August 2022 release.

Jaws is considered one of the greatest achievements in film, paving the way for what would become the summer blockbuster. NECA is excited to announce a new 8" clothed figure featuring the licensed likeness of Richard Dreyfuss as Matt Hooper from the 1975 classic. Based on the shark cage scenes, standing at 8" tall, the young oceanographer is equipped with screen-accurate accessories (flippers, spear, underwater light, knife, and oxygen tank) as well as swappable heads. Window box packaging.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
