NECA Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary release of Warduke (Walmart Collector Con)

Updated: Mar 8

Another Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary figure has been revealed from NECA. Shown as part of the preview of products for the Walmart Collector Con (14th & 15th March 2024) is a new variant of the 7-inch scale Warduke figure with an updated paint job paying homage to the original 1980s figures from LJN.

Warduke joins the previously announced Strongheart, and the card back also indicates two more 50th Anniversary releases are incoming for Zarak and Elkhorn. The 50th Anniversary releases come in clamshell packaging, and this one will open for pre-order next week at the Collector Con event.

From the lore of Dungeons and Dragons! NECA has taken inspiration from the classic action figure release and reinterpreted it for the modern collector’s market, taking advantage of all of today’s advances in technology and tooling. Evil mercenary Warduke fights for coin with a fearsome set of weapons. Includes collector-friendly clam shell design and accessories for Warduke action figure.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
