McFarlane DC Retro Unmasked Batman 1966 and The Riddler.

Updated: Sep 5, 2021

When the first of the 1966 Batman 6-inch figures were unveiled by McFarlane in early summer, there were a couple of variants seen at a Shanghai toy show but not revealed. The first of these, the unmasked Batman, has now been officially confirmed and it will be a Target US exclusive.

The figure features an unmasked Adam West head, the soft goods cape, and the clip-on comic book call-outs. Unmasked Batman is an October 3rd release in the US. Outside of America, the figure should be a general release via McFarlane stockists.

The promotional image released by McFarlane for this release also gave us a first look at one of the wave 2 figures, The Riddler.

Kapow! The debonair millionaire Bruce Wayne may seem like your average cool cat, but you would be wrong! With the flip of a Shakespeare head bust and… to the Batcave! Gotham City is filled with a rogue’s gallery of criminals eager to unmask the Batman, but they are thwarted by the Caped Crusader’s own clever ways.

  • Each Figure includes 2 action word bubbles.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
