McFarlane DC Multiverse Hush and Jon Kent Superman

Two new McFarlane DC Multiverse figures have gone up on the Walmart US website. Up first is Hush as revealed earlier in the week from the Batman: Hush series. He will come packed with twin knives and a circular display base.

He is joined by the Jonathan Kent Superman from DC Future State. This is a brand new figure that McFarlane are yet to reveal themselves using their usual teaser image format. He will feature alternative hands and a flight stand. Both figures will also include the collectible art card.

The bandage-wrapped Hush is perhaps the closest to Bruce Wayne of all Batman’s enemies. Young Tommy Elliot was a childhood friend of Wayne, who also grew up in wealth and privilege. However, Tommy soon became deeply jealous and resented Bruce once his parents were tragically killed—seeing Bruce as getting the independence and wealth Tommy so desperately desired. Eventually becoming a surgeon, Tommy's resentment for Bruce continued to fester and grow over the years. When The Riddler discovered that Bruce is really Batman, he approached Dr. Elliot with the secret. But, when the two realized they shared a hatred for Wayne, they joined forces. Wrapping his face in bandages to hide his identity, Elliot manipulated many of Batman's greatest Super-Villains in a grand conspiracy to defeat him—hence, his chosen identity of “Hush.”

After his father, the first Superman, is exiled from Earth, Jon takes on the symbol of hope to become the Man of Steel. As Superman, he stands ready to protect the world, using his incredible superpowers to prove to himself and the people of Metropolis that the S-shield on his chest is deserved. Recommended for children ages 12 and up.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
