McFarlane DC Multiverse Collector Edition releases of Superman, Green Lantern, and Abyss

McFarlane's new Collector Edition subline of their DC Multiverse series will kick off with the previously previewed figures of Alan Scott Green Lantern from Day of Vengeance, Abyss from Batman vs Abyss, and an Action Comics Superman - complete with chain accessory.

The Collector Edition figures will feature a slightly larger box with 'Collector Edition' foil panel. Contents will include the art card and now a stand to display the card with, as seen on some of the more premium Gold Label exclusives. These launch figures are due for a late August 2023 release.

A founding member of the Justice Society of America, Alan Scott has been a trailblazer for over 80 years. Alan Scott is the first to bear the name Green Lantern, wielding a ring that focuses a mystical green flame. As time passed and Alan aged, he evolved into a mentor and inspiration to generations of new superheroes. Recharging his ring through his magic lantern, Green Lantern made his emerald glow a sign of hope and source of inspiration for decades.

As GOTHAM CITY celebrates surviving Fear State, BATMAN retreats alone into the darkness. But when he learns of a mystery involving BATMAN INC., it forces the CAPED CRUSADER to leave GOTHAM CITY for a brand-new adventure where he will face an old enemy and a unique, deadly new one - ABYSS!

Sent to Earth from the dying planet of Krypton as a baby, Kal-El was found by farmers, Martha and Jonathan Kent, and raised as their son, Clark. As Clark grew up, the radiation from Earth's yellow sun gave him enhanced senses and extraordinary powers, including super-strength, superspeed, heat vision, X-ray vision, super-hearing, super-breath, and flight. Now, fully grown, he uses his powers to protect his adopted world as Superman.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
