McFarlane DC Multiverse Blue Beetle movie releases

The Blue Beetle movie releases from McFarlane were first previewed last week, and now we have details of the DC Multiverse figures due to land in August 2023.

There will be two Blue Beetle figures, a standard release with two energy rings, energy sword and energy construct weapon - and a Battle Mode variant who features alternative hands and a pair of wings. Both Blue Beetles are standard releases and come with the standard display stand and art card.

They are joined by the previously previewed Megafig of Carafax who stands over 11-inches tall and comes with an alternative pair of hands. The Blue Beetle initial releases are rounded out with the Blue Beetle 12-inch scale PVC statue, posed on a Blue Beetle base.

The first in his family to graduate college, Jaime Reyes harbors dreams of law school, but instead is conflicted in the face of threats to his home and misfortunes befalling his family. When he becomes symbiotically connected to an ancient alien biotechnology, Jaime is bestowed with almighty but unpredictable powers, leading him to fulfill his destiny and become a new generation of the Super Hero: Blue Beetle.

An experienced lieutenant and war veteran, Carapax, Guatemalan with inscrutable Mayan features hardened by his 50 years and military demeanor, is now the bionically enhanced right-hand man of Victoria Kord. Having endured the experimentations of Kord Industries, Carapax is able to unleash virtually indestructible weaponry at will - but underneath the heavy armor he is struggling to mask the scars of past battles.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
