The new McFarlane DC Collector Edition releases of Blackhawk, Elongated Man, Cosmic Boy, Professor Pyg, and Zatanna are all now confirmed as having Platinum Edition chase variants.

Each of the Platinum Edition releases uses the same box and artwork, with the added Platinum Edition sticker. The figures are re-coloured as a variant, while the same accessories and collectors card are packed with them.

Platinum Edition releases are chase variants, packed randomly into shipped cases. If you order a figure there is a chance you may get a chase version, although a lot of online retailers will break down the cases and sell the Platimum version at a premium.

These will all ship in February 2026, the same as the standard versions We've added these to our extensive McFarlane Collector Database

The post-Crisis Blackhawk™ was Janos Prohaska, a Polish fighter pilot who fought in the Spanish Civil War. Following the fall of Poland, he traveled to the UK, where he became the commander of the secret Allied Blackhawk Squadron. Blackhawk’s team stayed together after World War II and battled communists and Super-Villains. They subsequently served as both a courier service (Blackhawk Express™) and as part of the Checkmate organization.

Possessing unparalleled strength and incomparable skill in manipulating magnetic fields and forces, founding Legionnaire Cosmic Boy is the backbone of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Voted team leader by his colleagues, Rokk Krinn is an athlete-turned hero, never hesitating when it comes to fighting for what is right

Young Ralph Dibny was fascinated by traveling contortionists and worked out that their abilities stemmed from Gingold™, a soft drink containing juice from the gingo fruit. When Ralph drank a concentrated gingo extract it gave him amazing stretching powers. He moved to Central City to start a career as a Super Hero: the Elongated Man™. Initially mistaken for a villain by local champion, the Flash™, Ralph quickly built a reputation as an eccentric hero, detective, and member of several Justice League™ teams. He also somehow found time to fall in love with Sue Dearbon™, and after they were married, the couple traveled the country, solving mysteries.

Driven insane by exposure to Doctor Dedalus’ Spyral™ labyrinth, Lazlo Valentin became pig-mask-wearing Professor Pyg. Pyg’s exploits consisted of kidnapping unfortunate Gotham

City™ citizens and performing bizarre surgeries on them before adding doll-face masks that turned them into obedient minions called Dollotrons™. A driven free spirit, Pyg frequently opens new “clinics.” His latest foes have included the Teen Titans™, Red Hood™ and the Outlaws™, Nightwing™, and Batman™.

The mistress of magic Zatanna Zatara is one of the most powerful magicians in the world, able to alter reality with a single word. As a member of Justice League Dark she helps defend the Earth from supernatural threats. However, this mighty sorceress has learned that magical power can be a curse as well as a blessing.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
