I don't usually cover WWE or Wrestling figures unless there is a direct tie-in with movies, and this is certainly the case with the newly announced WWE Hollywood figures. Each of the 6=inch figures features a WWE wrestler as seen in one of their movie appearances.
With a concept like that, it is no surprise that one of the first releases is The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, as seen as Luke Hobbs in Hobbs & Shaw from The Fast & Furious series. He is joined by John Cena, who is also from The Fast & The Furious - Jakob Toretto, as seen in the recent F&F 9. Toretto features a removable soft goods vest.
The surprise third inclusion is Rowdy Roddy Piper, from the iconic They Live from John Carpenter (1988). The John Nada figure features soft goods check shirt and removable sunglasses.
During their panel at Comic-Con at Home, Mattel also revealed other figures in the series including more Rock from The Scorpion King, Roman Reigns from Fast & Furious, and a brilliant Andre the Giant as Bigfoot from The Six Million Dollar Man.
The first series of figures have already been listed for pre-order at Walmart in the US with a November 2021 release date.
