It is nearly a year since we saw the proposed 6 inch Jurassic Park line unveiled by Mattel. After a very long wait, we now have some more concrete details about the line which will be called the Amber collection.
The line will launch with two figures - a human and a dino. Rather than the originally displayed Owen Grady from SDCC 2018, the human line will launch with Doctor Ian Malcolm. Malcolm was teased at SDCC 2018 with a card insert and then a brief look at a prototype towards the end of the show. The new version has been resculpted somewhat and is based on his Jurassic Park appearance. He will come with a flare to wave at any passing T-Rex's.
The dinosaurs will be represented by the Velociraptor. And rather than the Jurassic World Blue we saw last year, the figure has been tweaked to be a classic Jurassic Park Velociraptor, "clever girl!"
Both figures come with an amber effect display stand.
There is no details as yet on release date, price or availability. Some sites are hinting at these being a retailer exclusive? We would expect to get much more info at San Diego Comic Con 2019 so watch this space....
