Hiya Toys Exquisite Basic Warrior Bug from Starship Troopers (1997)

Hiya Toys are expanding their Exquisite Basic line of monsters into Starship Troopers (1997) with this release of the Warrior Bug.



The 5-inch-tall bug will feature articulated legs and arms and will come with a display base and stand for more dynamic posing options.

This is a general release and is expected to ship in the 3rd Quarter (July-September) of 2027.



The Warrior Bug from Starship Troopers joins Hiya Toys’ EXQUISITE BASIC Series!


Set during the war between the United Citizen Federation and the Arachnids, Starship Troopers follows Johnny Rico as he joins the Mobile Infantry and battles the Bug forces of Klendathu. As a frontline Arachnid unit, the Warrior Bug uses its speed, sharp forelimbs, and powerful close-range attacks to overwhelm Federation troops.


Standing approximately 13.5cm tall, this EXQUISITE BASIC Series Warrior Bug action figure faithfully recreates its iconic appearance from Starship Troopers. Its broad head carapace, scythe-like attack limbs, powerful jaws, segmented legs, layered back armor, and detailed surface textures capture the creature Warrior Bug’s aggressive and heavily armored form.


Multiple joints allow the legs and limbs to be freely adjusted for dynamic displays. The black and dark brown carapace is accented with vivid yellow stripes and crimson markings, with layered paint applications enhancing the depth and texture of the armored shell. Recreate the intense battles between the Mobile Infantry and the Arachnids!
