Hiya Toys next Exquisite Basic release from their Godzilla Toho line will be Super Mechagodzilla from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2 (1993)

The figure includes the ability to display Mechagodzilla with or without Garuda, which features adjustable cannons. You also get a variety of effect firing parts and the G-Crusher anchor cables, which can be posed with your Hiya Toys Godzillas. Additional hands are included to allow flight posing or fight positions.

The figure is a general release in all areas apart from Japan, and is expected to release in the 2nd quarter (April-June) of 2027.

Combine, Garuda! The ultimate battle form has arrived! Super Mechagodzilla from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla Ⅱ (1993) joins Hiya Exquisite Basic!

Dr. Omae and his assistant Azusa Gojo find a large Pteranodon egg on Adona Island, but the Kaiju Rodan hits suddenly. Godzilla then appears and a battle ensues. Baby Godzilla is then born from the egg, which is transported to Japan. Godzilla follows Baby Godzilla and lands on Japan. Meanwhile, the United Nations Godzilla Countermeasures Center (UNGCC) has completed the super weapon, Mechagodzilla.

This new EXQUISITE BASIC Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla Ⅱ (1993) Super Mechagodzilla figure standing approximately 21cm tall, it recreates Mechagodzilla's sharp eyes, heavy lower body, and mechanical appearance.

The Garuda can be attached to figure’s back, forming Super Mechagodzilla as seen in the film. 2x interchangeable back plates are included — a standard plate for Mechagodzilla on its own, and a dedicated plate for Garuda — you can switch between two forms freely. Garuda's cannons are articulated for adjustable firing angles. 2x interchangeable abdomen parts are also included for Super Mechagodzilla form.

Thruster flame effect parts attach to the legs; you can set up dynamic flight and high-speed boost poses with a stand. Multiple effect parts are included to recreate Mechagodzilla’s energy weapons and the Garuda’s twin-cannon barrage. The G-Crusher’s anchor cable can be freely posed, with 2x interchangeable hands allow you to recreate Super Mechagodzilla’s iconic flight attacks, combined standby poses, and close-quarters combat scenes.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
