Hiya Toys Exquisite Basic Female MUTO, Godzilla (2014)

Hiya Toys have released the full details of their Exquisite Basic release of the female MUTO from the 2014 Godzilla movie. The 15cm articulated figure will be a Quarter 1 release for 2024.

Godzilla (2014) tells the story of a mysterious incident at the Janjira nuclear power plant in 1999, which resulted in the unfortunate deaths of most of the staff, including Joe Brody's colleagues and his wife Sandra. Many years later, Joe's son Ford travels to Japan to help his estranged father. Joe, who has noticed various anomalies and is obsessed with uncovering the truth behind the incident, is determined to explore the forbidden zone. In the process, the father and son discover that the root cause of the catastrophe buried beneath the ruins is a massive cocoon. They witness the awakening of the male MUTO and, even worse, a second secret resurgence occurring elsewhere.

Humanity is on the brink of an ancient cataclysm, and Dr. Serizawa believes that only Godzilla, the "King of the Monsters" has the ability to restore the balance of nature. However, Godzilla faces immense challenges, and humanity strives to comprehend this powerful ally with destructive capabilities.

This EXQUISITE BASIC Series Female MUTO action figure stands 150mm tall. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, referencing the original CG data from the movie, every aspect of the MUTO's appearance from the film is faithfully reproduced! Details such as the red eyes, two pairs of massive forelimbs, and more are all recreated, and intricate coloring further accentuates its lifelike creature aesthetic.

The lower jaws of the mouth can move independently, allowing for a wide opening, and the tongue can swing independently. Multiple joints throughout the body provide extensive poseability, enabling various combat stances of the MUTO to be replicated! The top part of head is made of rubber material, enhancing durability and providing more possibilities for an immersive experience!

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
