The next release from Hiya Toys in their Toho Godzilla line is the Exquisite Basic release of Burning Godzilla from Godzilla vs Destroyah from 1995.
The 7 inch articulated figure will also feature alternative hands. The decor includes a translucent base body and therefore light will pass through the 'burning' sections to give a glow effect when lit with a light source. It will be a general release in all territories apart from Japan and will ship in Q4 (October-December) of 2026.
This is the 22nd entry in the Godzilla series. A war-weathered Godzilla and Godzilla Junior face a foe born of the aftermath of 1954’s Godzilla in an apocalyptic battle with the evil kaiju Destoroyah. It depicts the fierce battle between Godzilla and a new monster, Destoroyah, a creature born over 41 years from the effects of the Oxygen Destroyer—the underwater weapon introduced in the original film.
This brand new EXQUISITE BASIC Series Burning Godzilla action figure is based on its appearance in 【Godzilla vs. Destoroyah】(1995) recreating the original film suit's color scheme. This release marks a significant upgrade in both structure and paintwork, delivering a more dynamic and visually striking representation of Burning Godzilla.
Features hollow inner design with translucent materials, enhanced with multi-layer hand-painted applications and gradient airbrushing to recreate the molten of Godzilla’s glowing energy. Unlike previous translucent figures, new design allows light to pass through the body cavity and refract between layered scales, revealing subtle color shifts and enhanced dimensionality across its body. The chest, abdomen, and thighs are treated with gloss gradient finishes, showing high-temperature burning effects and a blazing energy flow under light.
Multiple joints throughout the body, ensuring an authentic appearance while providing a wide range of articulation. With additional 2x interchangeable hand parts, let you recreate his claw-swinging and final roaring scenes from the film!

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
