Hasbro SDCC Exclusives to be unveiled by 17th July with new Walmart page live?

Hasbro have been quite coy so far on what is going on with the Exclusives they had planned for San Diego Comic Con 2020 before it was cancelled due to Covid-19.

However, it seems we are now less than a week away from a reveal for all properties with a new page being added to Walmart.com in the US called Collector Con. The page has a countdown for Friday the 1th of July 2020 (10am EST) at which point it seems all the Hasbro Exclusives will be unveiled and sold via Walmart. The header for Hasbro shows icons for Black Series, Marvel Legends, Transformers and GI Joe - indicating at least one exclusive for each line.

Walmart are of course handling US distribution for other collector lines with NECA product going on sale as of the 23rd of July, and others listed on the Walmart site including Beast Kingdom and Funko.

For UK fans, the reveal should be made around 3pm on Friday but we will not be able to order or buy directly from Walmart. Thankfully most SDCC items from Hasbro have been granted international releases via the Fan Channel or specific retailers - so if the embargo on these is up as of Friday the 17th, expect some UK pre-orders to open at a similar time.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
