2018 will see the first of Sony's Spiderverse movies when Tom Hardy brings Venom to the big screen. It seems Hasbro have plans for a Marvel Legend wave in conjunction with the movie release which arrives in October. The first two figures are comic book interpretations of Venom and Carnage and these do reuse parts from other figures.
It is has been denied that there will be any movie based figures within the wave.
There also looks to be some basic 5 1/2" figure releases at the same time, with this two pack of Venom and Carnage. Carnage is a direct re-release of the pretty poor looking version from the Spider-Man animated series. For the 12" Hero line, we will also get figures of Venom and Carnage.
