Doctor Who Action Figure Database

The "Vault Programme" will see the current figure guides on my site move from a static page format to an interactive database. The new database format will allow for a lot more content to be held, and new content to be added more easily. It also allows the user to filter the data by various criteria as well as searching for an individual character.

Following on from Star Wars Black Series and NECA, my Doctor Who page has now converted to the new format.

The Who content is that from 2013 to present for the 5 inch line, essentially the return of the line after its hiatus while Character released 3.75 inch characters. Each figure has a slot with images of the figure and the packaging. Figures are allocated by era (New or Classic) and by Doctor. If you click through a release you will find a records page with some more info including episode info (where available) and notes/galleries where applicable. There are also links provided where I have done a review of the figure/set.

My next consideration is if we can work backwards to create a full archive of Doctor Who figures back to 2005. I certainly own most of them for photos, but most are loose so packaging images may be the issue. Like each database, this would be focus on the release and figure and not so much any card variants or international differences.

Let me know if this is something that would be of use?

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
