Remember that line of DC Luchadores figures announced by DC Collectibles back at Toy Fair 2019? Well it seems the retailer interest in the figures was not as expected and DC Collectibles have announced the line has now been cancelled.
The DC ¡Lucha Explosiva! was to be a line of figures which would reimagine DC characters as Luchador wrestlers. Each release was to have an amended backstory inspired by Mexican culture and history. The first wave, initially scheduled for August 2019, was made up of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Metallo II and Deathstroke. None of these figures will now see the store shelves, and any pre-orders taken on the line will now be cancelled.
