This image has been circulated on Facebook showing a Bandai display at a Far East Trade show. At first glance, with nothing else in the picture to give scale, you assume this is a standard 1/12 BB8 kit. But look closely at the info-card which states this will be a 1/2 scale.
The BB8 prop stands at 2' 2", or 670mm. That would bring the kit in at at 13" high (335mm) and therefore a touch larger than the Hasbro Remote Control BB8, although this one has the added fun of building it first.
