Happy #SatTOYday everyone!
This week was relatively quiet, with the biggest announcement coming out of Jazwares as they revealed the first figures in their 6 inch UFC line. Square Enix were also launching a new line, as their Bring Arts products were revealed and a release date set for the end of the year.
Hasbro were reasonably quiet with the announcement of a new Gaming Greats figure and an awesome Transformers crossover called Gigawatt. NECA had a couple of packaging reveals, and ahead of their week of SDCC 2020 (as was) exclusives a leak thanks to an eager Walmart store.
Plenty of reviews this week across Star Wars Black Series and Marvel Legends. And #OnThePegs is back with a couple of store reports from Smyths and B&M.
Gaming Greats Jango Fett
The next in the Star Wars Black Series sub-line, Gaming Greats, has been announced as Jango Fett as seen in the 2002 Bounty Hunter video game. This new release see's the original Jango Fett figure re-released in Gaming Greats packaging with updated decor, face print technology on the head and a revised jet pack to match what we see in the game. He is exclusive to Gamestop in the US, and available via the Fan Channel elsewhere. ETA is September/October 2020.
Transformers Generations Gigawatt
Hasbro revealed this new Transformers Generations crossover release to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Back to the Future. Square Enix Bring Arts Marvel
After showing off their new Bring Arts 6.5 inch scale figures at Toy Fair 2020, Square Enix have finally revealed the first three releases in all their glory. Captain America, Iron-Man and Spider-Man in his Iron-Spider suit will be released in December 2020 and will set you back $135 in the US.
Jazwares and UFC unveiled their new Ultimate Series of 6 inch super articulated UFC fighters this week. The new line will feature figures with 32 points of articulation, soft goods ring attire as well as alternative heads, title belts and soft goods flags. NECA SDCC 2020 Reveals (and leaks)
NECA will reveal the four sets they had originally planned for SDCC 2020 next week, starting on the 7th of July. Each set reveal will also include details of how it will now be sold, and NECA have also promised overseas distribution too. The sets will include one for TMNT and we now know one will be Gremlins thanks to a leak via Wal-Mart.
These images started circulating this week of a Gremlin set complete with swimming trunks, snorkel and Olympic Flame. The "Unofficial Summer Games" Gremlin is of course even more ironic in that the Olympics for 2020 have also been cancelled.
NECA Packaging Reveals
In other NECA news, there were packaging reveals this week for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the nex Godzilla release.
The next series of the Cartoon Series 2-Packs for Ninja Turtles was revealed in its window box packaging. The next three sets include April O'Neil and a Foot Soldier, Casey Jones and a Foot Soldier and Leatherhead and Slash. The sets are exclusive to Target in the US and should start showing up this July,
And as the Godzilla line winds up for a hiatus, we saw the packaging for the 2003 Tokyo SOS Godzilla - another July 2020 release.

On The Pegs : Store Reports
I am back out and about, cautiously, as lockdown eases...
About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
