No sooner were they announced by NECA, the two new proposed Toony Terror Video Game figures of Freddy and Jason have been cancelled.
The "unfoerseen circumstances" are most likely linked to the messy and ongoing legal wrangle over the rights to Friday the 13th - this has put a stop to most releases in the foreseeable future and NECA obviously fell foul of thinking perhaps as these were repaints they may avoid being blocked.
All pre-orders for the figures are now being cancelled.

Standing approximately 6 inches tall, Freddy (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Jason (Friday the 13th) appear in their classic video game colors.
