McFarlane Movie Maniacs Rocky figures of Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed

McFarlane's Movie Maniacs series continues to expand and is adding the 1976 classic Rocky to its stable of movies. The first figures from this newly added property have been revealed as Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed from the first Rocky movie. These are posed figures and not articulated as such. Both boxers feature alternative heads allowing you to display them with standard, or fight damaged heads.

The Rocky figures will be presented on plinth stands with a design based on the Heavyweight Title Belt from the Rocky series. Also included in each pack is a cardboard backing piece, art-card, and card display stand. McFarlane also lists a secret bonus item with each set. They are listed for release in June 2024 with Rocky limited to 6400 pieces, and Apollo at 5600

Rocky is a small-time Philadelphia boxer going nowhere, until an unbelievable shot to fight the world heavyweight champion lights a fire inside him.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
