McFarlane DC Multiverse 'Battle Damaged' Shazam and Freddie Freeman 2-Pack from Shazam: Fury of the Gods

At the time of it's release in 2023, McFarlane only announced two figures from Shazam: Fury of the Gods, a figure of Shazam himself, and of Wonder Woman as per her cameo.

We now have a new Fury of the Gods Gold Label release heading to Amazon as an exclusive and featuring a Battle Damage variant of Shazam and a new figure of Freddie Freeman. The set appears similar to the 'versus' two packs with a diorama base on which you can pose both figures. Each figure features alternative hands and the set also includes the Staff of the Gods, and Mr. Mind Slug.

The set is down for release as of the 26th of July 2024.

Billy Batson’s parents died when he was still a baby. The orphaned child believed he had no one to rely on and had to fend for himself. But one day, he was guided to the Rock of Eternity, where the ancient wizard Shazam waited. The world needed heroes and the boy became the wizard’s new champion, able to transform himself into an adult superhero by calling down a magical bolt of lightning. Now, whenever evil must be stopped or people are in need of help, Earth can rely on the power of Shazam! When a vengeful trio of ancient gods arrives on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Shazam and his allies get thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of the world

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
